Boiler Installation
If your boiler is over 15 years old it's likely to be operating at an efficiency level of between 60% - 70%. We install high efficiency oil and gas boilers (also known as condensing boilers). Switching over to an A rated boiler could heat your home more efficiently and save you up to 25% on your fuel bills.
Boiler Servicing
Servicing your oil or gas boiler could save you up to 10% on you annual heating bill. We recommend you service your boiler annually for two reasons. Reliability: Regular servicing will maximise your boilers efficiency and prolong it's life ensuring that your fuel costs are reasonable and reducing the risk of expensive repairs down the line. Safety: Gas, oil and carbon minoxide leaks can have dangerous consequences. Regular servicing will reduce the chances of these occuring.
Radiators
There are a few considerations you should make when installing radiatiors. Consider modern radiators: Modern double panel radiators can produce up to twice the amount of heat without taking up any additional space in your room. Room size vs rad size: Some radiators are simply not big enough to effectively heat larger rooms. Alternatively some are bigger then necessary wasting energy and money. Location: The optimum location for a radiator is below your window. This prevents draught and combats the cold air entering through your window pains.
Central heating and controls
You can reduce your energy usage by up to 20% by installing heating controls in your home. Adequate heating controls allow you to schedule the heating and hot water to suit your working and living patterns. Heating controls enable you to heat your domestic hot water without needing to turn on your space heating. You can also split the heating distribution between rooms and set specific temperature levels in each room.
